Red Brick Road #4 - Mountains and Molehills

In this episode, we talk about the obstacles that get in the way of building a Red Brick Road.

Feedback:

  • lazy-t, co-host of Spoiler Alert, answered the Episode 3 discussion question: If he were to build a Red Brick Road, he would want it to lead to a place called "comfortable with me" (himself).
  • SquidLord left a message here at the blog, first mocking our lack of show notes and then mentioning an issue with some of our bumper music. The bumper change has been implemented as of this episode.

Personal Red Brick Roads of the episode:

Question of the Episode: What obstacles will you face when building your red brick road?

  • munchkin - She would add obstacles on purpose. The obstacle against her is that her workers will get deported.
  • flickguy - Reality: Narnia doesn't exist! Setting that aside, the true obstacle is self: laziness and not knowing how to perform the work involved.
  • lazy-t - Ego, lack of effort. Also, "As I work, the goal often seems to shift, which makes it harder to attain."

Personal Red Brick Roads of the episode:

  • flickguy - The Wizard of Oz stage production
  • munchkin - Chicken Parmesan sandwich from Jason's Deli

Question of the Episode: Where do you think the red brick road led to in The Wizard of Oz?

  • lazy-t - flick's co-host from Spoiler Alert says that the road went to the city limit and then stopped.

Question to answer in the next episode: If you could build a Red Brick Road, where would it go? We're speaking of a literal road that does not necessarily have to lead to a real place.
